Generally speaking, at a temperature between 16-35℃, it takes 5-7 days from sowing to germination, 40-45 days from germination to fruiting, and 90-100 days from fruiting to maturity. Therefore, the growth cycle of hemp seeds is generally 100-110 days.

Hemp has a wide range of adaptability to temperature, especially during the seed germination period and the early growth period of seedlings. It has a strong ability to withstand low temperatures, so it can be planted in some high-altitude cold areas. It can also germinate and grow in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Inner Mongolia, Henan and other provinces and autonomous regions by autumn sowing.

Hemp seeds can germinate at low temperatures of 1 to 3°C, but to make the seedlings emerge quickly and neatly, it is advisable to sow when the soil temperature is stable at 8 to 10°C. The optimum temperature for seed germination is 25 to 30°C. When the temperature is 8 to 10°C, it takes 15 to 19 days to germinate, and when the temperature is 23 to 26°C, it takes 3 to 4 days to germinate. The suitable temperature for seedling growth is 10 to 15°C; the rapid growth period is 18 to 30°C, and the optimum temperature is 19 to 23°C; the suitable temperature from flowering to seed maturity is 18 to 20°C. From seed germination to the early growth period of seedlings, it can withstand low temperatures of -5 to -12°C for a short period of time. However, it is not resistant to low temperatures in the later stages of its growth. During the flowering period, the flower organs will be damaged if the temperature drops to -1℃, and will die if the temperature drops to -2℃, especially the male flowers.

More than half of U.S. states now allow the use of marijuana, primarily medical marijuana, to combat anxiety and sleep problems. Scientific research suggests that cannabis oil containing the psychoactive chemical THC can relieve depression, anxiety and stress, but heavy use may suppress depression in the long term by reducing the brain's ability to release bad memories.

Do marijuana seeds need light if they haven't sprouted yet after being planted in the soil?

In theory, the germination of hemp seeds does not require strict lighting conditions. It usually takes 10-15 days from sowing to germination. However, sufficient light is required after germination. Ordinary sunshine is far from enough, and the required light source must be more than 18 hours. Hemp is a light-loving crop, which is specifically manifested in two aspects: one is the total amount of light exposure received by hemp during the growth cycle, and the other is the amount of sunlight received every day. In general, the amount of sunlight has a greater impact on the dry weight of hemp than the total amount of sunlight, but the total amount of sunlight has a greater impact on the fiber quality (the strength of the primary fiber).
