When choosing a good LED plant light, focus on the following three points.

Light intensity

The intensity of sunlight is very high. Even on cloudy days, the outdoor environment can reach tens of thousands of lux (lx), and on sunny days, the light intensity can reach more than 100,000 lux. Therefore, the first factor to consider when choosing a plant fill light should be that it can provide sufficient light intensity.

In LED lighting technology, the light is distributed twice through the lens to control the range of light irradiation, greatly improve the utilization rate of light, and increase the light intensity. A good lens design can also achieve equal illumination (that is, the light intensity of the irradiated plane is basically the same), which can effectively avoid problems such as uneven growth and plant deformation caused by differences in light intensity, while avoiding waste and unnecessary light pollution.

Light quality

Light quality refers to the composition of the spectrum. At present, there are two main types of LED fill lights with different light qualities on the market, one is full spectrum (the viewing angle effect is close to white light), and the other is red and blue spectrum (the viewing angle effect is purple).

From the perspective of actual fill light effect, both can meet the requirements; from a health perspective, full spectrum is more suitable. This is because the blue light content in the red and blue spectrum is high, and the stray light it produces is more harmful to the human eye. This is the same reason why our eye-protection desk lamp emphasizes the absence of blue light hazards.

Structure

When choosing a plant fill light, you should consider whether its structure can be applied to different indoor planting scenes. Windowsills, corners, planting racks, desktops, etc. are all common scenes for indoor planting.

At present, there are fill lights with different structures on the market, such as table lamps, floor lamps, tube lamps, and clip lamps. You need to make a reasonable choice according to your own planting scene. If the planting scene is relatively unfixed, try to choose a clip structure, which can be applied to almost all indoor planting scenes.
